Brad On Google

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Ofcourse, he only said the first part. Some people believe the news stories in our headlines and other don’t. Some of them are pretty outrageous alright, but we base our jokes in truth, always, or it’s no fun. Our headlines are usually the true part, though. Never take our punchlines seriously, because, well, then we’d be out of a job wouldn’t we?

I Google myself here and there. Sometimes its to see if my website works, and if Google search actually shows this site. Try it out with my name and see if you get it. Instead, I’ve gotten Vietnamese Facebook clones from Australia. It never leads me to my own site, which is all I freakin want.

Ty’s New Dolls

Monday, January 26th, 2009

Gosh, this is pretty disgusting. Why would you do that to those Obama girls? The problem I’m having with it is that TY is claiming that they chose to use the names Sasha and Malia because they are beautiful names and they did not get them from the girls themselves. And out of 30 dolls in their line these are the only two African-American ones. It’s a really bad coincidence then.

So if you see these dolls in the store, stop people from buying them, and lets get TY to pull the product. It’s just an awful piece of merchandise and not necessary circulating in our economy.

MLK & PBO

It is inauguration day! I’m watching it in class, because it just so happens that my class started at 11 and the celebration starts at 11. My schedule this quarter did not work out in my favor for things like this. And Lost. and Heroes. Thank god for Hulu.

It seems like the second comic with Hugh Mohr is also very minimal. Would a background help these comics? Hugh just seems to not need too much, and his jokes are always just cute little quips. What a hilarious guy. This comic has also been written by Josh Wood, who is white. But he has a sense of humor no matter what level of racist it is. It seems today that it is a very low level of racism. Who knows what tomorrow will be like!

Inaugural Concert

Monday, January 19th, 2009

Oh what a special day it is today! One more day until Obama’s inauguration, and it makes me feel like doing an early comic on this Monday. It was a joke I just had to get in after reading the front page headline used at The Huffington Post.

Would it be bad if Obama bootlegged a concert put on for his benefit? It’d be just the same as videotaping The Decemberists at your $10,000 prom, or recording a crappy comedian playing at your bat mitzvah. Could you get sued? Probably not. And what if it was illegal, and President Nixon bootlegged his inaugural concert? I imagine that when David Frost would ask him about it his response would be along the lines of, “I’m saying, if the president does it, then it’s not illegal!”

Happy presidency, Obama!

Finger Food

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

This comic is directly taken from my past comedy show this weekend. It was written by my comrade Josh Wood and presented during our Headlines & Punchlines bit. It didn’t do amazingly at the show, but it’s a very well-written joke and one of my favorites that night. Plus, it’s hilarious to imagine kids bringing iceboxes to school, pulling out fingers, and scanning them before getting their sloppy-joes. They should make a show called “Sopranos Jr!” or “Sopranos Babies!”. It would go exactly like this.
